NATO System for the ISAF and RSM Missions
In an operational environment in the Middle East, NATO required a system to capture fuel transactions at multiple locations and then synchronize the data to a central European headquarters location.
logstat europe, in a teaming arrangement with VarecĀ® and Leidos, implemented a highly automated web-based ERP as a greenfield solution.
The system captured transactions at the point-of-sale with mobile devices, and at storage locations with automated electronic capture devices, and then bi-directionally synchronized the data via VSAT communications to the central servers.
Despite the challenges of one of the harshest war-zones in the world, logstat europe maintained near 100% system availability over a seven year period. In a recent client assessment, NATO described the system as the ‘gold standard for fuels accounting’.
A Greenfield IT Infrastructure Implementation for the ACK University
The ACK University in Kuwait was founded in 2004 by a team of prominent Kuwaitis. logstat europe team members arrived in Kuwait in mid-2004 and were tasked with a rapid mobilization of the IT infrastructure, and the recruitment of technical, administrative, and faculty staff.
Despite the University buildings being only partially complete, a hard deadline of the end of October was set for the first semester commencement. As a result, logstat europe had to procure and set up the IT infrastructure remotely, and then progressively move each component into place as each building was completed and commissioned. In parallel, logstat europe commenced the recruitment of the required personnel, including many international staff.
Notwithstanding the extremely tight deadline, all IT infrastructure, including administrative and business applications, networks, and academic computer and audio-visual facilities were operational for the commencement of the academic year. In addition all required staff were recruited and in place when the first students arrived.

In 2008, the Australian Defence Force wanted to streamline its fuels management accounting, which was largely performed manually utilizing spreadsheets.
logstat europe team members, with partners SAIC and VarecĀ®, were engaged to implement a web-based ERP as a solution. The greenfield implementation included an online Enterprise application and site implementations at over 180 Defence bases throughout Australia.
The site implementations included automated capture of transactions at multiple unmanned petrol stations throughout the ADF.
The Joint Fuels Information Management System was successfully implemented on time and within budget, and subsequently has recorded over 5 million transactions for the ADF.
